A line of sight becomes a physical object.
Focus Series transforms optical devices made for seeing at a distance into sculptural apparatuses of direction, concentration and bodily attention. Super-telephoto lenses and elongated conical forms no longer function simply as tools for producing images. Instead, they become physical structures that shape posture, distance and the act of sustained looking.
Focus houses a vintage super-telephoto lens inside a large conical body, forcing the viewer’s gaze toward a single distant point. Refocus multiplies the condition of looking, dispersing focus into a repeated optical structure. Singularity enlarges the line of sight into a monumental sculptural form, turning vision into a narrow physical trajectory.
In a present where attention is constantly fragmented by screens, notifications and information, the series asks what it means to sustain attention. Looking becomes not a light gesture of visual consumption, but a physical act of alignment, duration and concentration.
